I started playing drums in my early 60's. Clifford was patient and a great instructor. I am playing in a band today that mostly plays originals. Would highly recommend for all ages. ~Bill W.
I have always loved the sounds and vibrations of the African drum. When I saw Clifford’s class offered I jumped at the chance to participate. He created a fun and safe atmosphere for me to learn in. He is respectful of different learning styles and strengths and is non-judgmental. It's so clear that Clifford loves playing and teaching drums and it comes across in the enjoyable atmosphere of his classes. I had so much fun drumming and meeting great people. There’s a wonderful magic in connecting to the drum and in drumming with others.
I am deeply grateful to Clifford because I met my husband in his drum class! He even drummed us down the aisle at our wedding. You never know what magic you may discover at Clifford’s classes so don’t hesitate to sign up. You might just fall in love-at least you will with drumming. ~One Happy Drummer, Julie
I'm 60 years old and like they say it's never to late to learn new tricks. Clifford told me he can teach anyone how to drum and after my first lesson I can see why. He is a very good teacher, calm and patience. Clifford explains everything clearly and he has good knowledge about drums. I'm excited and I'm looking forward to...continuing on. ~Glenn
Clifford is very easy to work with. My son has mild ADHD and Clifford was very calm and patient with him. Great teacher. ~Jodie
I stumbled across Sound & Rhythm last fall when looking to take snare/drum set lessons. Clifford said, "Why don't you come to the African drumming class this weekend too?" I had absolutely no experience or familiarity with African drumming, but I was curious. I'm so glad I went to that first class, I am hooked for life! Playing the djembe is a fun and healing experience, and just simply makes you happy. Clifford is an awesome teacher: he is very patient and encouraging, and challenges you to do things you never thought you could - but can. The group classes are very supportive and all levels of playing are welcomed and accepted, allowing you to develop at your own pace. I took the Performance Class only having completed one 6 week Beginners Class, and it was such an awesome and productive experience. I learned so much and have a lot more confidence. The final performance (my first!) was amazing; I had so much fun!! I'm definitely a returning student, and can't wait to learn more rhythms and how to play the dununs. Come check it out; you'll be glad you did!~Audra L.
