Film Production

Sound and Rhythm Studio is where music and storytelling meet to create high-quality, visually compelling productions. Led by filmmaker and musician Clifford Koufman, the studio focuses on music videos, documentaries, live concert recordings, and short films with a clear artistic point of view.

Clifford’s work has taken him from intimate rooms in Nashville to lofts in New York, neighborhoods in New Orleans, and vibrant communities in West Africa—spaces where music, culture, and conversation collide. His current project, Living Music, is a non-scripted feature about the forgotten legend Ra Kalam Bob Moses, now in post-production, with appearances by Pat Metheny and Paul Shaffer.

Drawing on collaborations with Grammy-winning artists and a lifelong connection to rhythm, Clifford blends musical sensitivity with cinematic craft. Whether directing a feature film or capturing a single performance, he approaches every project with precision, curiosity, and a commitment to telling the story in the most honest and visually engaging way possible.

Living Music Film

Clifford is currently developing Living Music, a feature film centered on drummer and composer Ra Kalam Bob Moses. The project includes in-depth conversations with Pat Metheny and Mike Calabrese of Lake Street Dive, along with a New Orleans recording session he produced featuring Bill Summers, and legendary drummer Johnny Vidacovich.
