Bolokada is one of the greatest Djembefolas and teachers in the world. His patience, passion, and precision makes him one of the most sought-after and legendary teachers. His love for his Malinke culture and his students is remarkable. Students are changed forever as they enter the Bolokada workshop and practice and discover the magnificent depth and complexity of Malinke music and folklore. “You will learn the Malinke djembe rhythm and accompaniment on the sangban, kenkeni, and dundunba, plus solo technique… and the story of the rhythm and why we play each song.” –Bolokada Bolokada will teach three classes, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. While there is a class for every level. A professional could get something out of the beginning class and a beginner could get something out of the advanced class. We encourage you to take all three. We will provide each students with a video of the class as well as a play along track.
