Clif Koufman is a musician, educator, and filmmaker with over 25 years of experience teaching West African drumming. He has studied with master drummers Mamady Keita, Famoudou Konaté, and Bolokada Condé, and has collaborated with artists including Ra Kalam Bob Moses, Jeff Coffin, Johnny Vidacovich, and Bill Summers. His teaching is rooted in authenticity, joy, and connection — bringing the tradition of the djembe to life for beginners and experienced players alike.
